Calling All Experienced NOC Technicians!

Schedule: We are a Data Center open 24/7/365 with multiple shift openings, desired shift will be discussed during initial contact

We are looking for motivated, experienced, and customer service driven people who can provide telephone and live technical support to our customers. The primary job duty is to provide excellent technical support to our business and enterprise level data center customers. Additional duties include becoming an integral part of our NOC, monitoring our 25,000 sq/ft data center by performing hourly walkthroughs and utilizing state of the art data center management software, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. Duties also include installing, supporting, and monitoring of Cisco switches and routers, dedicated servers, collocation space, firewalls, load balancers, and various proprietary systems.

As a secondary function you will provide escalated support for dial-up and shared web hosting customers. Projects that extend outside of the normal scope of support are assigned based on job performance, attendance, desire, and ability to learn new technologies.

Desired Skills:

Proficiency supporting and troubleshooting technologies that power businesses. Demonstrated competency in intermediate level internetworking technologies. At least 2 years of experience in the IT services field. Experience administrating and/or supporting the following a major plus:

• FTP
• EMAIL (Outlook, Evolution, Thunderbird)
• DNS (BIND9)
• DNS Registration
• Dial Up Networking
• IMAP
• DSL, T1, T3
• CAT5e termination, Fiber termination.
• Virus Scan Software (Norton, Mcaffee, AVG)
• TCP/IP
• Iptables
• IIS
• OpenSwan/OpenVPN/PopTop
• Apache
• MySQL
• Asterisk
• Cisco Switches and Routers
• College Degree, Microsoft Certified Professional, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Red Hat Certified are all a plus, but not required.

Must be well spoken, outgoing, organized, detailed-orientated, dependable, flexible, and willing to maintain a professional appearance at all times. Capably communicate with coworkers and input thorough and accurate notes in the internal systems. Effectively manage time and resources. Ability to deliver excellent customer service over the telephone including:

• Building rapport with the client.
• Ability to deescalate situations involving angry/irate customers.
• Inspire confidence to the end user with the solutions you are delivering.
• Remain aware of the customer’s time and level of frustration.
• Following up when you say you will.
