Network / Linux System Administrator
Atlantic.Net is currently seeking a Network / Linux SYSTEM Administrator in Orlando, Florida. The successful candidate will design, implement and administer enterprise systems; monitor and enhance system performance, and provide general support tools and systems integration.
The Network / SYSTEM Linux Administrator will also be responsible for collaborating with the Windows and Facilities Engineering Teams to deliver outstanding performance, uptime, and results for mission critical data center applications supporting Atlantic. Net’s hosting solutions including on-demand cloud computing, virtualization, and dedicated hosting solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deploy operating systems, major hardware upgrades, and projects from concept to deployment.
- Maintain and monitor production systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Produce and analyze metrics for servers and storage to ensure uptime, enhance performance, and optimize resource allocation and utilization.
- Effectively communicate with IT staff and management at all levels.
- Manage infrastructure to support new and existing server installations, and software/build integration.
- Write necessary code while acting as a team leader in the implementation of related projects and tasks.
- Improve and implement project and process change to meet customer needs and exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate effectively with first-line IT support staff, end users and other IT teams.
- Engineer, design and deploy high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.
- Deploy load balancing hardware, Cisco routers, switches, network security and firewalls.
Requirements:
- Expert in Linux systems administration with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of RHEL/CentOS support experience to lead small to large projects.
- Expert in IP networking with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of Cisco IOS support experience to lead small to large projects.
- Intimate knowledge of Cisco L2/L3 switches and routers running OSPFv2, OSPFv3, BGP, and ASAs.
- Knowledge of advanced server functions including virtualization, clustering, load balancing and directory services.
- Knowledge of server hardware, hardware RAID and Linux Software RAID.
- Strong technical understanding of Volume Management in a SAN environment.
- Strong technical understanding of IPtables, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, and OpenVPN.
- Strong understanding of NAS and SAN storage infrastructure with storage array systems.
- Experience with mission critical web server solutions (Apache/MySQL/Bind).
- Experience with mission critical email solutions supporting 1000’s of users (Qmail/Vpopmail/Horde).
- Experience managing mission critical backup solutions.
- Experience with compilers and scripting languages such as C, Bash, Perl, Python, etc.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Experience with server consolidation.
- Experience with large, high-volume, multi-platform business application environments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Cisco experience a plus (3550, 3560, 6500 series switches running IOS).
- Certifications (RHCE, CCNP).
- Experience with administration of medium-large data center environments.
- Experience with Virtualization technologies (KVM, vSphere, Hyper-V 2.0/3.0)
- Experience with Solaris 11 and ZFS.
- Experience with ClamAV or other anti-virus solutions
- Experience supporting Spamassassin and/or any other anti-spam / content filtering solutions
FLSA status:
- Salaried-exempt position, paid on a biweekly basis.

Client Support Technician
We are currently looking for a Client Support Technician for our data center in Orlando, Florida. The right candidate is highly motivated, experienced professionals with a passion for delivering excellent technical support and great customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- As a Client Support Technician (CST) your main responsibility is to promptly respond to any issues assigned to you by a Client Support Coordinator (CSC). You will receive, troubleshoot, and document work done on all issues regarding Atlantic.Net's product offerings (Cloud Hosting, Dedicated Server Hosting, Managed Hosting, Colocation, VOIP Services, and Virtualization).
- Provide excellent customer service to customers who have technical related issues with Atlantic.Net's product offerings.
- Continuously monitoring our 25,000 sq/ft data center for any power, environment, or security related alarms while verifying customer access to the facility and collocated equipment.
- You will be responsible for the completion of Information Technology tasks such as software installations, hardware set up, maintenance, and systems support; including troubleshooting.
- Hardware installations, setup, and troubleshooting, service builds, configuration, and remote management.
- Specific services include, but may not be limited to the following: Active Directory, File and Print sharing, Application server support, Client-side OS support, Email services, Networking, Security Services, Firewall configuration, and Backup and Data Recovery.
- Support 24x7 data center environment by responding to off hour escalations
- Document all work performed on current and new systems by capturing details on all relevant factors in our internal ticketing systems.
Requirements:
- Two years information technology experience with some customer service experience.
- Administration experience for *nix based systems and Windows Server 2003/2008
- Knowledge of virtual platforms and architectures; including VMWare ESX/ESXi 4.0, Hyper-V, and KVM
- Understanding of PC networking concepts, including routing, switching, etc
- Understanding of common backup and restore procedures
- Ability to think critically and troubleshoot a wide range of support issues, including Email, FTP, DNS, DSL, VPNs, and Web Servers (IIS/Apache)
- Must be well spoken, outgoing, organized, detailed-orientated, dependable, flexible, and willing to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
