GAINESVILLE (August 25, 1998) — Atlantic.Net, one of Florida’s most popular Internet service providers, is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as one of the Florida 100, a compilation of high-growth privately held companies in the state of Florida.

The list is compiled by the University of Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), and Accounting Research and Professional Education (CARPE), in the College of Business Administration. The annual project identifies the 100 fastest-growing private companies in Florida. Recipients must meet four strict requirements to be eligible: be an independent, privately held corporation or proprietorship, but not a subsidiary or division; show a three-year sales history with an increase in fiscal 1997; has sales of more than $100,000 but less than $25 million in fiscal 1995, and be headquartered in the state of Florida.
