Veeam Backup and Replication is an enterprise data-protection platform that backs up and replicates virtual, physical, and cloud workloads. It supports image-level VM backups, agent-based server backups, granular file-level restore, bare-metal restore, replication for disaster recovery, and integrity validation of every restore point.

Veeam licensing, agent installation on supported Windows and Linux servers, backup policy design, scheduled execution, integrity validation, off-site repository storage, 24/7/365 monitoring from our US-based NOC, and engineer-led recovery on request. The service runs inside our SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI DSS-aligned hosting infrastructure.

Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025; and Linux distributions including Debian 11/12, Ubuntu 20.04/22.04 LTS, Rocky Linux 8/9, AlmaLinux 8/9, RHEL 8/9, Oracle Linux 8/9, Fedora, openSUSE, and SLES. Active long-term support versions are recommended.

Three primary restore patterns are supported. Bare-metal restore brings an entire server back to the original or a newly provisioned environment, including direct restore to a dedicated server or hypervisor (private or public cloud). Volume-level restore returns an entire drive or partition. Granular file-level restore brings individual files back to any reachable destination server in minutes.

After the initial full backup seed, only new or changed data blocks are captured indefinitely ‐ no scheduled re-fulls. Synthetic-full operations stitch incrementals together at the repository so restores remain fast while network and storage usage stay minimal. Combined with deduplication and compression, this drastically reduces both backup windows and repository footprint.

The Managed Veeam Service supports on-site storage for local backups and off-site storage in Atlantic.Net's global data centers. Customers can place primary and secondary repositories in different regions to satisfy the 3-2-1 backup rule (three copies of data, on two different media, with one off-site). Cloud-tier targets such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage are also supported on request.

Veeam supports end-to-end AES-256 encryption: data is encrypted at the source, in transit, and at rest in the repository. Atlantic.Net engineers configure encryption keys, key rotation, and access policy as part of the managed service so encrypted backups never block legitimate recovery.

Veeam Cloud Backup is the off-site cloud target where backup copies live; Veeam Backup & Replication is the platform that creates, schedules, and recovers those backups on premises and in the cloud.
