Millions of Servers Deployed Worldwide
Dedicated Servers are a standalone hardware offering not tied into any existing Cloud platforms or hypervisors such as the Atlantic.Net Cloud Platform. The hardware is solely set up for your requirements, along with any additional Managed Services, to ensure the hosting environment meets your needs.
You simply connect to the new server, and everything is pre-configured and ready for you to start!
Atlantic.Net - Hosting Dedicated to You!
Each host is a physical server that is sold or leased in its entirety to our customers. In a typical data center, a dedicated server will be used by businesses for complex, data-intensive tasks. Other uses for a dedicated server are to host a database, as a big data machine learning data science server, as a dynamic web host for high-traffic websites, and so on. Unlike shared hosting solutions, each dedicated host is custom-built to your specification with a choice of CPU, Disk, and Memory (RAM). Each server is available with full root access for complete server control. Our dedicated hosting services come with a dedicated network IP address, free SSL certificate, and support for a wide selection of operating systems and control panel options to supercharge your web hosting experience.
Need server management? Choose a managed dedicated server hosting plan or opt for unmanaged dedicated server hosting if you're happy to self-manage the server. Atlantic.Net also provides a long list of managed services that you can pick and choose from to add to your server. Our experts can manage every aspect of your server's lifecycle: hosting, network, bandwidth, upgrades, users, user control, and site management, to name just a few. One of the greatest needs of any organization is to keep its systems, processes, and proprietary information protected, secure, and safe. Get peace of mind with security defined managed services that include:
Regular scans of server operating systems to look for errors or potential threats are important in maintaining a server’s performance and security. The managed hosting provider does this routinely to catch little glitches before they become major disruptions. Ensuring that the server does not run out of system memory or disk space is essential for keeping the server healthy and performing well. Additionally, intrusion detection systems or intrusion prevention systems help mitigate server data breaches or unauthorized access.
Some companies fail to anticipate the threat of a business-crippling disaster. It is estimated that 30% of businesses have no disaster recovery strategy in place. If that statistic doesn’t scare you, a study by Touche Ross says that 90% of businesses that don’t have a strategy in place will fail. Hurricanes, earthquakes, and fires all happen every year. A resilient backup strategy is just the start; a managed hosting provider should back up critical systems and critical information/processes so that your company continues to run smoothly no matter what happens.
One of the most comforting features offered by a managed hosting provider is around-the-clock technical support. The more reputable providers provide support in the form of telephone operators, email responders, or live chat agents available 24/7/365. Our highly trained team of experts can troubleshoot server issues, network or bandwidth problems. We provide extensive documentation online for our products, looking to add a cloud VPS server? Need help on the ACP control panel? Are you having issues with your site? Our documentation library is available 24x7 to you and all other users of Atlantic.Net systems. We also have nearly online tutorials to get you started on some of the most popular applications for Linux and Windows.
As any IT person can tell you, server maintenance is a full-time, painstaking job. Having a managed hosting provider in charge of your server’s lifecycle frees up your own IT staff for more on-site activities. Are your dedicated server requirements stretched to now include multiple dedicated servers and a private cloud environment? Are you out-growing your existing data centers? These scenarios are not a problem for Atlantic.Net. We also provide full private cloud clusters that are custom-built to your specifications.
Each server is isolated and exclusively used by a single customer, providing more power, more RAM, and more control. Unlike shared hosting, with hosting dedicated to a single customer, there is zero risk of suffering from noisy neighbors.
Dedicated servers are usually part of a much larger contract with the provider, and all our servers are built after completing purchase orders. Lead and provisioning time is usually measured in days, but the hosting plans are built to your exact specification. Need other add-ons? No problem! Simply get in touch with the team to discuss your add-on needs and get the best solution personalized for you! The current hardware specs that our dedicated server customers enjoy include:
You have full root access to the secure shell of your dedicated server. You have control over server management features. Pick any Operating System or Hypervisor, then choose the type of hard disk, whether that's the premium solid-state disk (fast!) or NVMe (really, really fast!). Unlike other hosting providers, you get to choose your support experience. We will be involved as much or as little as you want.
Dedicated servers are all about raw computing power provided by the latest Intel Xeon Scalable and Intel Xeon E3 Series server processors. AMD Epyc processors are also now available, giving you extra flexibility, guaranteed access to the physical resources you demand, and a great range of cost options. Each Intel and AMD Processor has multiple cores and multiple threads, each clocked at ultra-high speeds. Capable of adding intense bursts of CPU cycles on demand. Once our dedicated server customers try the new generation of Intel and AMD CPU, you will be hooked. Get the physical resources you demand, perfect for all business applications, web hosting, machine learning, multi-user apps, big data, and reseller shared hosting with multi-site hosting capabilities. All dedicated servers are currently offered out of Atlantic.Net’s Orlando, FL datacenter, and we have plans to roll out the offering to our other locations shortly. Each server hosting option is competitively priced.
Private network connectivity is made available over an isolated private network and a private fiber storage layer that is directly interconnected to the customer’s systems. The server will sit in the data center and do the same tasks reliably, day after day. Customers can connect via a stretched VLAN over a private network or via a private network VPN.
Protect your hosting investment with our uptime guarantees for networking, hardware, and infrastructure. We are so incredibly confident in the extreme fault tolerance of our data center architecture that we offer a money-back guarantee. How many other dedicated or shared hosting providers can match that? Atlantic.Net offers a 100% Uptime SLA that all critical infrastructure components we provide will be available 100% of the time, keeping your online business available 24x7x395.

In theory, yes, it's possible to self-host a server. However, you will need to contact a service support provider and fork out thousands of dollars to purchase the server. You will need to buy storage, networking hardware and pay for bandwidth, have a rack space to host and cool the server, and hire employees to support the server, manage access, and so forth. You’ll also need generators, physical security, monitoring, and more – functions that Atlantic.Net takes care of for you with dedicated hosting. You also benefit from the redundancy for physical space, servers, networking, and more resulting Atlantic.Net’s economies of scale and industry pricing we get on all parts of our products. Purchasing a dedicated server from us will save you money throughout the contract compared with the relatively high prices if doing it yourself.
Dedicated Servers are the first iteration of providing dedicated resources to a customer to host their website, applications, files, and more. Today, a single dedicated server is a great starting place for a business with a good reason not to move into Atlantic.Net’s Cloud Platform. Some reasons why a customer might want a Dedicated Server over a Cloud VPS are the need for an operating system at end-of-life, physical hardware keys, software restrictions, and compliance requirements. Another reason that customers opt for dedicated servers is when they provision a fully private cloud environment built with dedicated servers to meet their uptime needs, but want to avoid using any part of a public cloud.
You can spec out your application, site, or project and email or call us at [email protected] and 888-618-3282, and we will be happy to assist you. Generally speaking, you can get the best affordable price if you commit to a three-year term, but custom and flexible plans with monthly prices with one-year and two-year terms are also available.
Dedicated server hosting is a service where users are provided with multiple resources specifically dedicated to their hosting requirements and business needs. There is no sharing of resources; rather, the user gets to control resources such as bandwidth, RAM, or memory as per their needs.
For our dedicated hosts, bare metal servers, and dedicated servers, we can provide SATA SSDs, Spinning HDDs, or NVMe SSDs.
Absolutely yes, we can provide you with additional IP addresses for your dedicated servers, allowing you to meet those more complicated needs from your dedicated servers. If you need help configuring multiple IP addresses or need help with your bandwidth requirements, please contact our support teams.
It all depends on your needs, but a 32GB dedicated server has ample memory to conduct memory-intensive tasks. Most resources that are required depend on the workload and users that will be using the server and the services the server provides. It also depends on your budget; as you add more memory, your monthly cost goes up, too. If you are unsure, please reach out to [email protected] where we have sales engineers ready to answer your questions.
Dedicated Servers can range from mid-$200s to thousands of dollars, depending upon your needs and workloads. Atlantic.Net has options to fit your needs and your budget.
Dedicated servers can be used for various projects, especially projects that are more resource-intensive. Dedicated servers are perfect for any mission-critical application, as these programs need guaranteed uptime, improved control, and superb reliability. High-volume websites needing lots of bandwidth work well on a dedicated server. They also work well as a backup server because the I/O disk throughput is extremely quick, perfect for data-intense backup clusters. They make great database servers, data science platforms, and are excellent video conferencing hosts due to the extensive bandwidth available. Dedicated servers are also very popular with our healthcare customers, as we have made it easy to make them HIPAA-Compliant with our Managed Services.
A dedicated server will be provided to the customer with RDP or SSH access, and a dedicated cloud host can be controlled through the Atlantic.Net Cloud Portal. Bare-metal dedicated nodes can be supplied with any operating system the customer chooses, be it Windows, Linux, Hyper-V, or VMware ESXi, and we will provide remote access to manage them.
NVMe SSDs are much faster than SATA SSDs...7x faster! Generally, both SATA and NVMe use the same type of solid-state data storage technologies, but they differ in the type of interface speed used to read and write data. NVMe allows modern SSDs to operate at the read/write speeds of their flash memory by directly communicating through the computer's PCIe interface, whereas SATA SSDs are limited by the slower SATA interface.

We have invested immensely in our network infrastructure services and it is the cornerstone of our entire platform. The network is built with security, performance, and resiliency at its core and Atlantic.Net ensures that the network will be available 100% of the time in any given month (excluding scheduled maintenance). If it takes us more than 30 minutes to resolve the network issue from the time a ticket is opened, Atlantic.Net will refund the customer 5% of the monthly fee for each additional 30 minutes of downtime (up to 100% of the customer’s monthly fee for the specific equipment affected). Network uptime includes the functioning of all network infrastructure such as routers, switches, and cabling, but does not include software and services running on your server.
We only use the latest hardware in our data centers, and each server uses Intel Xeon CPU and other premium hardware. Protecting your hardware is vitally important. Atlantic.Net guarantees all hardware components in your dedicated server and will replace any failed components at no cost to you. Once Atlantic.Net determines the cause of the problem, hardware replacement will commence. If it takes us more than one hour to replace the faulty hardware from the time the cause is determined, Atlantic.Net will refund 5% of the monthly fee per additional hour of downtime (up to 100% of your monthly fee for the specific server affected).
The rest of our hosting infrastructure is also protected by a 100% SLA, all critical infrastructure components including power supplied to your server and HVAC will be available 100% of the time in a given month (excluding scheduled maintenance). If it takes us more than 30 minutes to resolve the infrastructure issue from the time the trouble ticket is opened, Atlantic.Net will refund 5% of the monthly fee per additional 30 minutes of downtime (up to 100% of your monthly fee for the specific server affected). Critical infrastructure includes the functioning of all power, HVAC, and cabling but does not include the power supplies on customers’ servers.
