An assistant installed on a laptop is only available while that laptop is awake, connected, and within reach. OpenClaw Hosting moves the Gateway to an Atlantic.Net Cloud Server, where it can stay online for messages, sessions, tools, and scheduled work.

Atlantic.Net prepares the server and OpenClaw application through a one-click deployment. You bring access to a supported model provider, authorize the people who can use the assistant, and connect the channels that fit your workflow. The result is a self-hosted OpenClaw environment without having to assemble the base server and runtime by hand.

What Is OpenClaw Hosting?

OpenClaw is an open-source, self-hosted Gateway that connects chat applications to an AI assistant. One Gateway can serve multiple configured channels, maintain sessions and memory, route work between agents, and expose a browser-based Control UI.

OpenClaw Hosting runs that Gateway on a persistent Atlantic.Net Cloud Server under your account. The server is a stable operating environment for OpenClaw's configuration, channel connections, session state, tools, and logs. Your phone, browser, or chat application is the way in; the Gateway remains available in the cloud.

The current one-click application uses a customer-supplied model provider. Connect OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or another provider supported by OpenClaw, and manage model usage separately from the Cloud Server. That separation lets you change models without rebuilding the Gateway or moving its channels and state.

Why Put the OpenClaw Gateway in the Cloud?

Stay Available When Local Devices Are Offline

Keep the Gateway running when a desktop sleeps, a laptop changes networks, or a team member signs off. A persistent host is a better foundation for an assistant reached through chat, scheduled jobs, and longer-running tools.

Give Every Channel One Stable Home

Connect supported services such as Telegram, Slack, Discord, Signal, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Matrix, and more. One Gateway coordinates the channels and sessions you configure instead of scattering state across user devices.

Keep the Gateway Under Your Account

OpenClaw's configuration and server-side state remain in an environment you administer. You decide how the Gateway is accessed, where backups are stored, which updates are applied, and which users and integrations are granted access.

Choose Models Independently of the Host

Bring your own model provider and change models or routing as your requirements change. Infrastructure cost and provider usage stay visible as separate parts of the service.

What's Included

One-Click OpenClaw Deployment

Select OpenClaw in the Atlantic.Net Cloud Portal, choose a Cloud Server plan and region, and launch a prepared application image. Start from a consistent installation rather than building the operating system, Node.js runtime, and base application manually.

Persistent Gateway, Sessions, and Memory

Give OpenClaw one always-available source of truth for channel connections, routing, sessions, and working state. Persistent storage supports repeatable channel pairing, controlled backups, and continuity between devices.

Multi-Channel Messaging

Use the supported chat and collaboration services that align with how your team already communicates. Configure each channel's bot credentials, approved users, group behavior, and routing rules from the Gateway.

Bring Your Own Model

Connect OpenClaw to a supported provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter. Keep provider choice separate from the server so you can evaluate model quality, latency, and cost without moving the deployment.

Tools, Skills, and Scheduled Work

OpenClaw supports tools, skills, webhooks, cron jobs, and multi-agent routing. Begin with the smallest capability set the assistant needs, validate the workflow, and expand permissions deliberately.

Full Server Administration

Control network access, operating-system policy, monitoring, storage, and backups at the Cloud Server level. Atlantic.Net supports the infrastructure underneath the deployment while you control OpenClaw, its credentials, and its integrations.

From One Click to Your First Conversation

1. Choose OpenClaw in the Cloud Portal

Select the application, server plan, and deployment region.

2. Connect a Model Provider

Add credentials for an OpenClaw-supported provider, then select the model you want the Gateway to use.

3. Authorize Access

Pair an approved user, connect a channel, and keep the browser Control UI behind a protected network path.

4. Test, Observe, Then Expand

Confirm sessions, model billing, logs, backups, and recovery with one user and one channel before adding broader access or more powerful tools.

OpenClaw Hosting Use Cases

Use case What a persistent Gateway adds
Personal AI assistant Reach the same assistant from a phone, browser, or approved chat channel without leaving a workstation online
Team knowledge and operations Provide a stable front door for approved users, shared procedures, alerts, and carefully scoped tools
Scheduled summaries and monitoring Run recurring jobs from an environment that stays online outside a user's working hours
Agency or client workflows Separate deployments, credentials, and state by client or project instead of mixing trust boundaries
Model evaluation Keep channels and Gateway state stable while comparing providers, models, routing, and API cost
Remote-first work Make an assistant available through communication tools the team already uses across locations and devices

Clear Control of the Deployment

Atlantic.Net provides You configure and manage
Cloud Server infrastructure and one-click application image OpenClaw onboarding, updates, and application health
Root-level server access and networking controls Model-provider credentials and usage charges
Cloud storage, snapshots, and backup options Users, pairing, channels, tools, skills, and schedules
24/7/365 infrastructure support Gateway access, logs, recovery tests, and data-handling policy
A 100% uptime SLA for eligible infrastructure commitments Availability of OpenClaw, connected channels, and external model providers

Self-hosting gives you control of the Gateway; it does not remove external data paths. Prompts sent to a model provider are processed under that provider's terms, and connected messaging services handle messages under their own terms. Review each service before using the assistant with sensitive information.

Secure the Gateway Before You Add Powerful Tools

Treat Gateway access as privileged access. Use explicit pairing or allowlists, keep the Control UI on localhost or a protected private route, and require strong Gateway authentication. Run the service under a dedicated operating-system account, restrict provider keys and channel tokens, and keep OpenClaw and the host updated.

Separate users or workloads that do not share the same trust boundary. A dedicated Gateway or Cloud Server gives each environment its own credentials, tools, writable data, and recovery path. OpenClaw also provides a security audit command; run it after configuration changes and resolve critical findings before expanding access.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The current Atlantic.Net one-click application requires access to a supported external model provider. OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenRouter are common choices. Provider charges are separate from the Atlantic.Net Cloud Server.

The Cloud Server infrastructure is supported by Atlantic.Net, but OpenClaw is self-managed. You configure the Gateway, model provider, channels, users, tools, updates, monitoring, and backups. Atlantic.Net managed services may be added separately where available and appropriate.

The Gateway, configuration, and server-side state run in an environment under your account. Messages still pass through the chat services and model providers you connect. Their terms and data-handling practices remain part of your privacy assessment.

Capacity depends on active users, channels, concurrent sessions, enabled tools, browser automation, stored files, and whether any models run locally. Start with a measurable workload, monitor CPU, memory, storage, and process health, and resize when usage shows the need.

Yes. Provider configuration is separate from the server. You can change supported providers or models while keeping the same Gateway, channels, and server-side state, subject to the configuration and credentials required by the new provider.

OpenClaw is the stronger starting point for an always-available, messaging-first assistant. Hermes is the stronger starting point for tool-driven, scheduled work that benefits from a learning loop and reusable skills. Their capabilities overlap, and some teams run both with separate credentials and clearly divided responsibilities.
