Hosting Solutions Provider’s Data Center achieves internationally recognized standard.
ORLANDO, FL – October 25, 2012 – Atlantic.Net, a privately held leading hosting solutions provider, announced today that it has achieved SSAE 16 (SOC 1) Type II certification for its data center. This certification, an internationally recognized standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the recognized mark of IT service quality, effectively replaces SAS 70 Type II, Atlantic.Net’s previous certification.

Independent accounting firm, Reckenen, Inc., performed an attestation of Atlantic.Net’s colocation data center facilities that included controlled environment, physical security, logical security, and computer operations. Atlantic.Net was awarded Type II certification, which is more comprehensive than Type I, to reflect the auditor’s judgment on how efficiently controls functioned during the defined one-year examination period.
