GAINESVILLE (July 1, 1997) — Internet Connect Company (ICC), one of the fastest-growing Internet service providers in Florida, is increasing its coverage area to include local access in Jacksonville, Orange Park, and Fernandina effective immediately.
The First Coast has always been high on ICC’s target list of potential markets, and recent strategic moves by the company have made it possible to open in Jacksonville sooner than expected. “We are happy to be able to make an impact on the Jacksonville market at this early stage in our growth cycle,” says ICC sales manager James Lamb, “Our reputation for quality and exceptional service should allow us to do very well here.”
ICC’s Atlantic.Net service has a flat monthly fee of $19.95. Standard accounts feature unlimited access to the World Wide Web, electronic mail, newsgroups, and Internet Relay Chat (IRC). All subscribers also receive space for a personal or commercial home page and shell access at no additional charge. ICC’s online service is compatible with the Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Macintosh, and UNIX operating systems. Customers in the Jacksonville area will pay no activation fees and be the first to receive ICC’s new start-up software package, based on the Microsoft Internet Explorer client.
ICC also offers a variety of high-speed dedicated Internet solutions such as frame relay and ISDN, as well as Web hosting services for businesses.
